LCD TV Panasonic TH42PZ700E 42 inches / 106 cm

Panasonic, a leader in the market for plasma screens, we had sent one of its treasures latest technology: the TH42PZ700E simply represents the first full HD plasma TV. This plasma therefore adopts a resolution for this new diagonal and the technology of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 42 inches. With this new panel of the 10th generation, rich colors promises to be the rendezvous with max 68.7 billion in dark areas. As is often the case on this technology, the response time is not reported. The display incorporates several systems to improve the image as reducing disruption of the image management contrast automatic or a video noise reducer.

Regarding the party connections, he was taken enriches 3 HDMI version 1.2 along with a VGA and a YUV. The Japanese manufacturer has also implemented, Crane, an entry card for SD-HC. A very good point usually overlooked in the competition. Finally, a TNT is also integrated.

Upon unpacking, it starts with a surprise: the coating of the screen makes mate in the manner of a LCD (the uninitiated can also easily be mistaken). Then, the sources SD, TNT type, give quite good results despite some echoes on the contour shapes. The video is little noise this despite the fact that it is a full HD. This 42-inch is doing pretty well without raising an LCD. Using HD 1080p sources, the image earns far sharpness, and contrast is increasing slightly. Despite this improvement, dollies are not an exemplary fluidity. We saw better at Sony with its Motionflow.
The most embarrassing is the omnipresent flicker with all types of source. The eye appears after an hour of film at 50 Hz With 100 Hz, the situation without getting substantially achieve sufficient stability. It should be noted that the activation of 100 Hz on the television, contrary to what happens on the LCD TV, does not alter the reactivity.

After that finding, we screen connected to a PC, in 1920 x 1080 and 60Hz, to test its use in the office and on the web. Clearly, the screen is not good because it offers a readability distant from what is found on the LCD. In addition, the twinkling eyes fatigue quickly even if it takes care of all of the image, without overscan. The uniformity of the slab does not suffer any defect banding or clouding.

Remember, if this latest generation plasma accepts many signals in 1080 lines progressive (1080p), you end up with a black screen if you plug in, for example, a Playstation 3 settled in 24Hz.
